Abstract: Paris caobangensis Y. H. Ji, H. Li & Z. K. Zhou (Trilliaceae), a new species from Cao Bang, northern Vietnam, is described and illustrated. The new species is related to P. birmanica (Takht.) H. Li & Noltie and P. vietnamensis (Takht.) H.
